A moment to reflect on those who served, and the lives that carry their service beyond the battlefield, whether that be the real battle fields of Kandahar or those found on our streets here in the UK or in saving lives as part of thier duties.
Which battlefield are you a veteran of?
Military
Police
Fire & Rescue Service
RNLI
HM Coastguard
Paramedic
Nurse
Emergency Room/Response Doctor
Were you injured in the line of your duties, do you struggle as a result, even queitly, trying to push on through, where you maybe forced to retire from the job you loved?
It doesn’t matter which service you gave in the grand scheme of things, you made a social contract with the nation, and now the nation needs to honour that contract, for our part, we intend to and it starts right here.
It doesn’t matter if the trauma you suffered was purely physical or psychological, if you want to join the conversation and be part of shaping the the future of these amazing Islands we all call home, send us evidence of that, it could be a GP letter, a hospital letter, service discharge letter (age not relevent for any of them) – if you are disabled – a photo will do (polite please, we are shy) and you will be give FREE lifetime membership of the British Democratic Alliance for as long as you wish to be a member.
If you have skills and experince that we feel the organisation can use to better the commitment to veterans, to the nation or sections of the communities within it, we may, at our dicretion, upgrade your membership to Senior or Executive level, which would then allow you to be elected to the board, no matter your background where you can then make a very real impact on the lives of millions.
