These Terms & Conditions explain how membership, shop purchases, payments, and data use operate within the British Democratic Alliance. We write everything in clear, plain British English to make sure all members and supporters understand their rights and our obligations.

1. Who We Are

The British Democratic Alliance (“BDA”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a political organisation registered in the United Kingdom.
Our website, membership system, and shop are operated to support the organisation’s activities, development, and administration.

2. Membership
2.1 Membership Types

We offer a range of membership tiers, both monthly and annual.
Each tier is described on the Membership page and may be updated from time to time.

2.2 Subscription Payments

Monthly memberships renew automatically each month until cancelled.

Annual memberships renew automatically each year unless cancelled prior to renewal.

All payments are processed securely by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).

We do not store your payment card details; these are held by the payment processor.

2.3 Cancellations

Members may cancel at any time by:

Logging into their account on our website, or

Contacting us using the details on our Contact page.

Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
We do not provide part-month refunds for monthly memberships.

2.4 Refunds

Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with UK consumer law.

Annual Memberships:
If a member is unhappy with their membership and we are unable to resolve their concerns within 56 days of the start of their membership, they may be entitled, at our sole discretion, to a full or partial refund of the membership fee.

We may decline refunds where:

Membership benefits have already been used, or

A member has breached our Terms & Conditions.

3. Shop Purchases
3.1 Orders

By placing an order through our website, you confirm that:

You are over 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

All information provided is accurate and complete.

3.2 Payment

Payments are processed securely through third-party providers.
An order is confirmed only once payment has been successfully completed.

3.3 Returns and Refunds

Most digital items (including memberships and downloads) are non-returnable unless required by law.

For physical merchandise (if applicable):

You have 14 days from delivery to request a return.

Items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.

Return shipping costs may apply.

4. Use of the Website

You agree not to:

Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data.

Upload or transmit harmful, illegal, or malicious content.

Harass, threaten, or defame anyone associated with the BDA.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts involved in coordinated disruption, malicious interference, or activity intended to damage the organisation or its members.

Members who engage in serious criminal activity, or whose conduct risks bringing the organisation into disrepute or causing harm to other members or the public, may have their membership and any associated access rights immediately suspended or terminated.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

We comply with UK GDPR and Data Protection laws.
We collect only the personal data necessary for:

5.2 Data Security

Your data is stored securely.

Membership does not guarantee any specific political result, policy implementation, or organisational decision.

Opinions expressed by members do not necessarily represent the official views of the BDA.

The updated version will be published on this page and will take immediate effect unless stated otherwise.
