Senior Membership

For serious contributors, especially those who wish to contribute and have some experience of political, business, or other leadership  roles from other spheres who have the skills that can help shape the future of these amazing islands and who want to assist in shaping strategy, funding growth, and can be held to the highest standard of ethical conduct.


Eligibility

  • UK resident or citizen aged 21 and over
  • Not disqualified from party membership or public office, have a criminal record for any indictable offences, have been disqualified as a company director, have been cautioned for any drugs offences or been cautioned or convicted for any domestic abuse offences.
  • You must not have been declared bankrupt at any point in your career.
  • Any company you were a director of must not have declared bankruptcy as a result of mismanagement.
  • Agrees to, supports and adheres to the BDA Code of Conduct and Constitution.

What you get

  • Right  to attend leadership roundtables
  • May comment on draft policy papers .
  • May co sponsor white papers
  • May particpate on policy committees
  • May organise fundraising events and similar events without board approval as long as they follow BDA code of ethics and rules.
  • May propose potential candidates for MP support.

Expectations

  • Maintain exemplary professional conduct.
  • Respect our non-factional, merit-first ethos.
  • Declare conflicts of interest;
  • Zero tolerance for grift.
  • Report all attempts at coersion
